Ceylon

Sri Lanka, officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (Sinhalese: , ; known as Ceylon before 1972) is an island nation in South Asia, located about 31 kilometers (18½ mi) off the southern coast of India. Popularly referred to as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, it is home to around twenty million people.

Le Sri Lanka (nom officiel République démocratique socialiste du Sri Lanka), depuis le 22 mai 1972, alternativement transcrit en Śri Lanka, Çri Lanka, Śrī Laṅkā est un pays d'Asie du sud. Son ancien nom, sous l’empire britannique, était Ceylan. Le Sri Lanka possède deux langues officielles, à parts égales, le cingalais et le tamoul. Mais la première est prédominante dans plus grande part du pays, car ~85% des habitants parlent le Cingalais, pour ~10-12% qui parlent le Tamoul. L’anglais est d'utilisation courante dans les milieux gouvernementaux et touristiques.

Sri Lanka, bis 1972 Ceylon (amtlich: Demokratische Sozialistische Republik Sri Lanka) ist ein Inselstaat im Indischen Ozean 31km vor der Südspitze des Indischen Subkontinents. Die Insel wird auch Perle des Indischen Ozeans genannt und hat ca. 20 Millionen Einwohner.Durch ihre Lage bildet die Insel einen strategischen Knotenpunkt für die Seefahrt zwischen West- und Südostasien. Sie war eines der Zentren des antiken Buddhismus. Heute ist das Land eine multireligiöse und multiethnische Nation, in der neben dem Buddhismus vor allem der Hinduismus, das Christentum und der Islam bedeutende Religionen sind. Der Buddhismus wird aber vom Staat bevorzugt behandelt; so sieht die srilankische Verfassung vor, dass der Staat für den Schutz und die Pflege des Buddhismus verantwortlich ist. Die Singhalesen machen den größten Teil der Bevölkerung aus. Die Tamilen, die vorwiegend im Norden und Osten des Landes und in der Hauptstadt Colombo leben, stellen die größte Minderheit. Andere ethnische Minderheiten sind die Moors, Malaien und Burgher.

Najlepsze jej zbiory datowane są na luty, marzec, sierpień i wrzesień, jakkolwiek zbierana jest ona przez cały rok.Herbata ceylon charakteryzuje się pełnym, wyrazistym smakiem i czerwono-brązowym kolorem. Jest to gatunek najbardziej zbliżony do tego, co w Europie i Ameryce zwykło się uważać ogólnie za herbatę.Zaparza się ją jak poprzez zalanie gotującą się wodą i odczekanie 2–3 minut.

Sri Lanka (Demokratyczna Socjalistyczna Republika Sri Lanka) – państwo w Azji Południowej, na wyspie Cejlon (pod tą nazwą znane do 1972) wraz z mniejszymi przybrzeżnymi wyspami. Oddzielone od Półwyspu Indyjskiego cieśniną Palk i zatoką Mannar. Od wschodu oblewane przez Zatokę Bengalską, od południa otwartym Oceanem Indyjskim. Największe miasta kraju to: Kolombo, Dehiwala, Moratuwa, Dżafna, Kandy, Galle.

Lo Sri Lanka, il cui nome ufficiale è Repubblica Democratica Socialista dello Sri Lanka (ශ්රී ලංකා in  singalese / இலங்கை in  tamil), conosciuta anche come Ceylon (nome ufficiale fino al 1972), è uno stato che si trova in Asia, e occupa l'omonima isola al largo della costa sud-orientale del subcontinente indiano. Per la sua forma particolare e la sua vicinanza alla costa indiana è stata soprannominata lacrima dell'India.
