Cauterization. Cauterize was a rock band from
Oshawa, Ontario,
Canada; previously known as T.O.E. They released five albums; the final being Disguises, which was released on June 12, 2007.As T.O.E., the band released two independent records; Take Off Eh! and
The Moment I Cauterize. The band then signed with US
record label Wind-up Records, which released one of the band's album; 2003's
So Far From Real. The album included the song "Something Beautiful", which was turned into a music video. The singles "Choke" and "Killing Me" were featured in
Nintendo GameCube game
1080° Avalanche. Cauterize toured with bands such as
Evanescence,
Three Days Grace and
Hoobastank. They left Wind-Up Records citing creative differences after the album, not pleased with the direction being forced upon them. On July 22nd of 2005, they released their second album,
Paper Wings, without a label.

La cautérisation est une technique médicale basée sur l’utilisation de la chaleur ou de produit chimique (comme le
nitrate d'argent, l'acide chromique ou l'acide trichloracétique) pour détruire des cellules anormales (par exemple des cellules cancéreuses) ou obturer des vaisseaux sanguins (par exemple dans le cas de
saignements de nez à répétition). Se fait généralement par application d'un fer chauffé à blanc sur la plaie, pour stopper l'hémorragie.
