Cat
The domestic cat (Felis catus or Felis silvestris catus, informally Felis domesticus) is a small, usually furry, domesticated, carnivorous mammal. It is often called the housecat when kept as an indoor pet, or simply the cat when there is no need to distinguish it from other felids and felines. Cats are valued by humans for companionship and ability to hunt vermin and household pests. They are primarily nocturnal.

.cat (auch bezeichnet als puntCAT) ist eine gesponserte generische Top-Level-Domain (sTLD), deren Einführung im September 2005 beschlossen wurde. Ihr Zweck ist die Förderung der katalanischen Sprache und Kultur. Sponsor ist die Fundació puntCAT. Die .cat-Domain ist sprach- und kulturspezifisch, aber nicht geographisch beschränkt.

Çat
Çat ist eine Stadt und zugleich Verwaltungszentrum des gleichnamigen Landkreises in der Provinz Erzurum. Die Stadt Çat hat 4.727 Einwohner und der Landkreis 20.756 (Stand 2008). Çat liegt im Südwesten der Provinz und grenzt an die Provinzen Bingöl und Erzincan.

Hauskatze
Die Hauskatze ist ein fleischfressendes, zu den Katzen gehörendes Säugetier. Sie stammt ursprünglich von der nordafrikanischen Wild- oder Falbkatze Felis silvestris lybica ab und ist ein seit mindestens etwa 9500 Jahren vom Menschen gehaltenes Haustier.

Kot domowy (Felis silvestris catus, dawniej także Felis catus lub Felis (silvestris) domesticus) – udomowiony gatunek ssaka z rzędu drapieżnych z rodziny kotowatych. Prawdopodobnie pochodzi od kota nubijskiego, przy czym w Europie krzyżował się ze żbikiem.

Kot (nazwisko)
Kot (odmiana różna lub jej brak) - polskie nazwisko szlacheckie, na początku lat 90 XX wieku nosiło je ok. 19 tysięcy osób.
Pochodzenie nazwiska nie zostało sprecyzowane. Mimo pozornej relacji z nazwą zwierzęcia nazwisko prawdopodobnie wywodzi się ze średniowiecznej nazwy zasadźcy - Kat. Pierwsze wzmianki sięgają XIII wieku.
