Carlos Llamosa

Carlos Llamosa (born June 30, 1969 in Palmira, Colombia) is a Colombian-American soccer player, who currently plays defender for Chivas USA of Major League Soccer.Llamosa began his professional football career in 1986 with Colombian third division club Colmena. In 1990, he moved to Colombian first division side Huila. In 1991, Llamosa emigrated to the United States to join the rest of his family, which was at the time living in Queens, New York City. Llamosa found a job at the World Trade Center, where he was working during the terrorist attack in 1993.

Llamosa ist ein athletischer, technisch beschlagener Verteidiger.Llamos begann seine Karriere 1990 beim Klub CD Atlético Huila in Kolumbien. 1991 wanderte er in die USA aus und arbeitete erst im World Trade Center. 1995 wurden die New York Centaurs sein erster Klub in Nordamerika. Der Verein, der damals in der A-League spielte, nannte sich in seiner zweiten Saison New York Fever.
