Kärnten (slowenisch Koroška) ist das südlichste Bundesland der Republik Österreich. Es grenzt an die österreichischen Bundesländer Tirol im Westen, Salzburg im Norden und Steiermark im Norden und Osten, sowie an Italien und Slowenien im Süden. Landeshauptstadt ist Klagenfurt am Wörthersee.

Karyntia
Karyntia (niem. Kärnten, słow. Koroška, wł. Carinzia) - kraj związkowy i kraina historyczna w południowej Austrii. Graniczy ze Słowenią, Włochami, Tyrolem, Salzburgiem i Styrią. Stolicą landu jest Klagenfurt. Obok Austriaków, zamieszkuje ją też mniejszość słoweńska w liczbie 14 tys. osób.
