The powerfully built prodigy became the target of a number of clubs after scoring 30 goals in 57 games for Vålarenga Fotbol before deciding to stay in Norway with Rosenborg BK. He helped the Oslo club reach the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup quarter-finals by scoring five goals in eight games. Previously starred for the Under-21 side, and made his international debut in November 1998 against Egypt and score in the friendly draw with Sweden in la Manga in February 2000. And he has shown an aptitude for goals in big games.
