Cao Wei

Cao Wei was one of the regimes that competed for control of China during the Three Kingdoms period. It was established by Cao Cao, who become the most powerful military leader in northern and central China. After 213, Cao Cao's feudal holdings were given the name Wei; historians often add the prefix Cao (from Cao Cao's family name) to distinguish it from the other states in Chinese history also known as Wei, such as the earlier State of Wei during the Warring States Period, and the later Northern Wei state. In 220, when Cao Cao's son deposed the last emperor of the Han Dynasty, Wei became the name of the new dynasty he founded.

Le royaume de Wei (, Cáo Wèi) (220 - 265) était le plus important des trois royaumes qui se formèrent durant la période des Trois Royaumes de Chine. Il fut fondé par Cao Cao (d'où son nom chinois de Cáo Wèi, « Wei des Cao »), ancien ministre des Han, qui avait pris le contrôle du Nord de la Chine, y compris la capitale. Cao Cao créa officiellement le duché de Wei en 213, dont il est promu roi en 216, mais ce n'est pas avant sa mort en 220, et la montée au pouvoir de son fils, Cao Pi, lequel déposséda le dernier empereur des Han que le Wei devient réellement un empire. Cao Pi se proclame empereur du Wei et décerne à son père le titre posthume d'Empereur Wu du Wei .

Die Wei-Dynastie (; 220–265) war eines der Drei Reiche, in die China nach dem Zusammenbruch der Han-Dynastie zerbrach. Zur Unterscheidung von anderen Dynastien und Staaten mit dem Namen Wei wird sie auch „Cao Wei“ genannt. Der Kern des Wei-Reiches lag in der chinesischen Zentralebene. Es umfasste die heutigen Provinzen Gansu, Hebei, Henan, Liaoning, Shaanxi, Shandong und Shanxi. Seine Hauptstadt war Luoyang, die Hauptstadt der Späten Han-Dynastie.

Wei lub Cáo Wèi (220-265) - państwo w okresie Trzech Królestw. Założył je Cao Cao, który dominował na północnymi i środkowymi Chinami. Po 213 r. jego lenna zyskały nazwę Wei, do której czasem dodaje się nazwisko Cao, dla odróżnienia od innych państw w historii Chin, które również nosiły nazwę Wei. W 220 r. zmarł ostatni cesarz Dynastii Han, a także Cao Cao. Jego syn Cao Pi założył wówczas nową dynastię Wei. Ale z pretensjami do tronu wystąpili również Liu Bei z Shu Han oraz Sun Quan ze Wschodniego Wu. Po latach wojen, królestwo Wei pokonało w 263 r. państwo Shu Han. Dynastia Wei założona przez Cao Cao została jednak obalona przez Sima Yi, który założył Dynastię Jin.

Wei (魏) of Cao Wei was een van de Drie Koninkrijken van China in de periode 220-265 (de andere rijken waren Wu en Shu). Het rijk lag ten noorden van de Yangtse, met de hoofdstad Luoyang.
