Cake is often frosted with buttercream or marzipan, and finished with piped borders and crystallized fruit.

Cake or Cake++ is an English draughts (often called American checkers or simply checkers) engine by Martin Fierz. This engine works with CheckerBoard, another one of Fierz's creations. The latest version of cake is Cake Manchester. It uses the MTD(f) algorithm and can use up to 8-piece endgame databases. In November 2004, it competed with another engine, KingsRow, and Cake Manchester won 3 and lost 1 game.
