CORINE

CORINE (Coordination of information on the environment) is a European programme initiated in 1985 by the European Commission, aimed at gathering information relating to the environment on certain priority topics for the European Union (air, water, soil, land cover, coastal erosion, biotopes, etc.). Since 1994, the European Environment Agency (EEA) integrated CORINE in its work programme. EEA is responsible for providing objective, timely and targeted information on Europe's environment.

Corine est l’acronyme de Coordination de l’information sur l’environnement, commission chargée de l’environnement par l’Union européenne dont les bureaux sont à Bruxelles. Le programme a été proposé en 1985 par la Commission européenne, avec pour but principal la gestion de l’information et des actions en environnement avec l’UE, pour définir et protéger les biotopes (Corine Biotope), combattre les pollutions de l’air, cartographier la répartition des différents modes d'occupation des sols (Corine Land Cover) et préserver les zones naturelles.

CORINE, czyli Coordination of Information on the Environment - system informacji na temat przyrody nadzorowany przez Europejską Agencję Środowiskową (EEA czyli European Environmental Agency). Celami programu są: realizacja polityki ekologicznej UE, która obejmuje ochronę bioróżnorodności we wszystkich wymiarachokreślenie kierunku dotyczącego polityki ochrony przyrody, jej wdrażanie i pobudzanie różnych służb państwowych w tym wymiarze.
