A cop is a slang term used to describe policeconstablessheriffsprison guards and other law enforcement officers. The usage of the word "cop" to refer to law enforcement may have been derived from the verb cop, which means to take or seize, or in reference to copper badges law enforcement officers wore, and most likely does not come from the British reference to Constables On Patrol

Chop, Ukraine
Chop (, ) is a city located in the Zakarpattia Oblast (province) of western Ukraine, near the borders of Slovakia and Hungary. It is separated from the Hungarian town of Záhony by the river Tisza, and the city itself is designated as a separate raion (district) within the oblast.
