Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer (often abbreviated as C&C or CnC) is a video game franchise, mostly of the real-time strategy style as well as a first-person shooter game based on the former. The Command & Conquer series was initially developed by Westwood Studios between 1995 and 2003, with development being taken over by Electronic Arts with the liquidation of Westwood Studios in 2003.

Numerical control
Numerical control (NC) refers to the automation of machine tools that are operated by abstractly programmed commands encoded on a storage medium, as opposed to controlled manually via handwheels or levers, or mechanically automated via cams alone. The first NC machines were built in the 1940s and 1950s, based on existing tools that were modified with motors that moved the controls to follow points fed into the system on punched tape. These early servomechanisms were rapidly augmented with analog and digital computers, creating the modern computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools that have revolutionized the machining processes.

Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer (abgekürzt C&C oder CnC, engl. für kommandieren und erobern) ist eine von den Westwood Studios entwickelte Spielereihe. Mit seiner unkomplizierten Steuerung, der spannenden Geschichte und seiner Multiplayerfunktion erwarb Command & Conquer schnell großen Ruhm und gilt heute noch als Urvater der Echtzeit-Strategie, da Command and Conquer das Genre der Echtzeit-Strategie berühmt gemacht hat (wenngleich Dune 2, welches ebenfalls von Westwood entwickelt wurde, den Grundstein legte). Im März 2002 wurde mit Command & Conquer: Renegade zum letzten Mal ein Command-&-Conquer-Spiel von Westwood veröffentlicht, denn seit C&C Generals/C&C Generäle wird die Reihe von EA LA entwickelt.

Computerized Numerical Control (CNC), übersetzt „computerisierte numerische Steuerung“, ist eine elektronische Methode zur Steuerung und Regelung von Werkzeugmaschinen (CNC-Maschinen), bzw. die dafür eingesetzten Geräte (Controller, Computer).

Command & Conquer
La série Command & Conquer, souvent abrégée C&C, est une série de jeux vidéo de stratégie en temps réel initialement développée par Westwood Studios entre 1995 et 2003, entreprise rachetée par Electronic Arts en 1998. En 2003, Electronic Arts met fin définitivement à l'existence de Westwood Studios l'absorbant dans Electronic Arts Los Angeles, où les derniers épisodes ont été développés. Une partie de l'équipe originale de Westwood est restée.

Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) to komputerowe sterowanie numeryczne.
Termin ten zwykle używany jest w odniesieniu do obróbki materiałów za pomocą komputerowo sterowanych urządzeń (takich jak frezarki czy tokarki) zdolnych czytać standardowy kod sterujący G-code. Obróbka CNC pozwala na szybkie, precyzyjne i wysoce powtarzalne wykonanie często bardzo złożonych kształtów.

Command & Conquer (seria)
Command & Conquer (ang. Dowódź i Podbijaj, skrót C&C) - seria komputerowych gier strategicznych czasu rzeczywistego. Podzielona na trzy podserie: Tiberian, Red Alert oraz Generals. Pierwszą gra z serii była zatytułowana Command & Conquer, jednak aby odróżnić jej tytuł od tytułu całej serii powszechnie nazywa się ją Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn. Gry początkowo były produkowane przez Westwood Studios, jednakże podczas tworzenia Red Alert 2 firma została wykupiona przez Electronic Arts. Electronic Arts rozwiązał Westwood Studios, zwolnił pracowników i nabył wszelkie prawa do serii Command & Conquer.
