The Amiga CDTV (for Commodore Dynamic Total Vision) was a
computer made by
Commodore International and launched in March
1991. It was one of the first computers to come with a
CD-ROM drive as standard. The CDTV was designed and marketed as a set-top box to go along with one's
VCR and be used as a CD-player and
games console. It was created as a direct competitor to the
CD-i, with neither having any real commercial success.
