CBS

(CBS) is one of the largest radio and television networks in the United States. The name is derived from the initialism of Columbia Broadcasting System, its former legal name. The network is sometimes referred to as the Tiffany Network, which alludes to the perceived quality of CBS programming during the tenure of its founder William S. Paley. It can also refer to some of CBS's first demonstrations of color television, which were held in a former Tiffany & Co. building in New York City in 1950.

Centralne Biuro Śledcze jest komórką organizacyjną polskiej policji mającą za zadanie zwalczanie przestępczości zorganizowanej, transgranicznej i narkotykowej oraz rozpoznawanie i rozpracowywanie groźnych grup przestępczych. Pracuje w niej 1800 osób.Centralne Biuro Śledcze zostało powołane 15 stycznia 2000 przez Komendanta Głównego Policji. Powstało ono z połączenia działającego od 1994 Biura do Walki z Przestępczością Zorganizowaną oraz działającego od 1997 Biura do Spraw Narkotyków.W centrali CBŚ znajdują się wydziały: kryminalny, narkotykowy, ekonomiczny, analityczny, techniki operacyjnej, ochrony świadka oraz zespół operacji specjalnych. We wszystkich województwach znajdują się zarządy (Katowice, Warszawa) lub wydziały terenowe CBŚ.

Columbia Broadcasting System, albo CBS, to główna stacja radiowa i telewizyjna w Stanach Zjednoczonych. CBS była jednym z trzech komercyjnych kanałów telewizyjnych, dominujących w USA przed powstaniem telewizji kablowej. W epoce radia rozwinęła się na tyle, by wykupić jednego ze swoich założycieli, Columbia Records, którego sprzedała wiele lat później firmie Sony.
