Cataloging
Cataloging (or cataloguing) is the process of listing or including something in a catalog. In library science it is the producing of bibliographical descriptions of books or other kinds of documents. Today the study of cataloging has broadened and merged with the study of metadata ("data about data contents") and is sometimes termed resource description and access.
