Cantiñas
The Cantiñas is a group of flamenco palos (musical forms), originated in the area of Cádiz in Andalusia (although some styles of cantiña have developed in the province of Seville). They share the same compás or rhythmic pattern with the soleá and are usually sung in a lively rhythm (between 120 and 160 beats per minute). They are normally sung in a major mode and have a festive mood.

CANTINAS
1) A family of song forms from Cadiz which include Cantiñas, Alegrias, Romeras, Mirabras, Rosas and Caracoles. According to Donn Pohren, the word was originally used to describe medieval songs from Galicia, in Northern Spain. Today, it's meaning is extended to signify popular song. Structurally, Cantiñas are the same as Solea, except for subdued accent on the count of 12. Alegrias is the only one that has a silencio section. Depending on who you speak to, some consider this classification of Alegrias style songs outdated and meaningless.
2) A form of Alegrias played in the key of C.
