Cam
A cam is a rotating or sliding piece in a mechanical linkage used especially in transforming rotary motion into linear motion or vice-versa. It is often a part of a rotating wheel (e.g. an eccentric wheel) or shaft (e.g. a cylinder with an irregular shape) that strikes a lever at one or more points on its circular path. The cam can be a simple tooth, as is used to deliver pulses of power to a steam hammer, for example, or an eccentric disc or other shape that produces a smooth reciprocating (back and forth) motion in the follower, which is a lever making contact with the cam.

Cham Albanians
Cham Albanians, or Chams (, Tsámidhes), are a sub-group of Albanians who originally resided in the coastal region of Epirus in northwestern Greece, an area known among Albanians as Chameria. The Chams have their own peculiar cultural identity, which is a mixture of Albanian and Greek influences as well as many specifically Cham elements. Chams played an important role in starting the renaissance of the Albanian culture in the 19th century. The Chams speak their own dialect of the Albanian language, which is considered one of the two most conservative dialects, the other being Arvanitika.

Nocken
Das Wort Nocken hat verschiedene Bedeutungen:
- Im Maschinenbau ist der Nocken ein mechanisches Element der Steuerungstechnik. Es ist ein kurvenartiger Vorsprung auf einer rotierenden Welle (Nockenwelle), Walze (Nockenwalze), Leiste (Nockenleiste) oder Scheibe (Nockenscheibe), der infolge der Rotationsbewegung einen Stößel beim Überfahren betätigt, wodurch ein Schaltvorgang ausgelöst wird.
- In der Küchensprache sind die Nocken oder Nockerln kleine Klöße, siehe Nocken (Gericht).
- Im Fußball sind Nocken in die Sohle eingearbeitete Stollen bei Fußballschuhen, die auf trockenen, harten Plätzen verwendet werden.

Çamen
Çamen (albanisch: Çamët, griechisch: Tsamides, deutsch gelegentlich auch: Tschamen) sind Albaner aus der nördlichen Küstenregion von Epirus (alb. auch Çamëria). Das Siedlungsgebiet der Çamen umfasste seit dem Mittelalter weite Teile von Epirus zu beiden Seiten der heutigen griechisch-albanischen Grenze. In jenen Gegenden lebten sie neben Griechen und Aromunen. Seit dem 15. Jahrhundert kamen türkische Siedler hinzu. Ein Teil der Çamen wurde dann unter der osmanischen Herrschaft islamisiert, während andere den orthodoxen Glauben behielten. Die Çamëria ist der südlichste Teil des geschlossenen albanischen Sprachgebiets.

Cam
La Cam est une rivière de 65 km de long dans l'est de l'Angleterre, au Royaume-Uni. Elle prend sa source à Ashwell dans l'Hertfordshire et se jette dans la rivière Great Ouse à 4 km au sud de la ville d'Ely.

Tsamider
Tsamider (albanska: Çamë; grekiska: Τσάμηδες, Tsamides) är en albansk folkgrupp som förut bebodde västra Grekland, av albaner benämnt Tsamerien (Çamëria). Bara en liten del av tsamiderna lever i Tsamerien; runt 150 000 bor i Albanien, cirka 400 000 i andra länder, de flesta i Turkiet och USA, och enbart 40 000 kristna tsamider i Grekland.

Czameria
Czameria (alb. Çamëria, gr. Τσαμουριά) - albańska nazwa nadmorskiego regionu Epiru, obecnie w większości w greckiej prefekturze Thesprotia.
Jego granicę zachodnią stanowi Morze Jońskie, na północy rzeka Pavël (Pavlle), na południu rzeka Acheron, wschodnia granica Czamurii przebiega wzdłuż pasma gór Paramithias i Tsamanta. W przeszłości w tym regionie mieszkali m.in. albańscy Czamowie, w większości muzułmanie, ale także prawosławni. W czasach Imperium Osmańskiego była to część sandżaku Janina. W XVII-XVIII w. nastąpiła prawie całkowita islamizacja miejscowej ludności. W 1913 r. na konferencji londyńskiej mocarstwa zdecydowały przekazać Grecji większość tego obszaru. Uwzględniający kategorię językową i religijną grecki spis powszechny z 1928 r. określał liczbę albańskojęzycznych muzułmanów w całym państwie na 19 198 osób, z czego 17 008 zamieszkiwało zachodnią część Epiru.

Krzywka (maszynoznawstwo)
Krzywka jest to mimośrodowy element konstrukcji mechanicznej, zazwyczaj o specjalnym kształcie (symetrycznym lub asymetrycznym).
Krzywka wykorzystywana jest we wszelkiego rodzaju mechanizmach do chwilowej zmiany położenia jednej części względem innej. Zmiana położenia może być zarówno jednorazowa (np. w potencjometrze) lub też okresowa (np. w pompie krzywkowej).
Krzywka jest powszechnie stosowana w mechanizmach krzywkowych układów rozrządu silników spalinowych do sterowania pracą zaworów.
