The Budapest Metro (Hungarian: Budapesti metró) is the
metro system in the
Hungarian capital
Budapest. It consists of three lines, each marked with a number and a separate colour. Metro Line 4 is currently under construction and the first section is to be put into operation in 2010. However, plans for Line 5 are ready for implementation. It is one of the oldest underground
metro systems in the world.
