Bridge over Troubled Water (song)
"Bridge Over Troubled Water" is the title song of Simon & Garfunkel's album of the same name. The single was released on January 26, 1970, though it also appears on the live album Live 1969, released in 2008. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on February 28, 1970, and stayed at the top of the chart for six weeks. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" also topped the adult contemporary chart in the U.S. for six weeks. The single has sold 6 million copies worldwide.

Bridge over Troubled Water
Bridge over Troubled Water ist der Titel eines Albums des Folk-Rock-Duos Simon and Garfunkel von 1970 und eines darauf enthaltenen Songs. Das insgesamt fünfte Album von Simon and Garfunkel ist das letzte gemeinsame Studioalbum der zwei Musiker. Simon and Garfunkel gewannen 1971 sechs Grammy Awards in den Kategorien Album des Jahres und Beste Tonabmischung sowie für den Song Bridge over Troubled Water in den Kategorien Beste Single des Jahres, Bester Song des Jahres und Bester zeitgenössischer Song des Jahres.

Bridge over Troubled Water, skriven av Paul Simon och sjungen av Art Garfunkel (ihop med Simon på tredje versen), är en kärleks/vänskapssång, utgiven på singel av Simon and Garfunkel i januari 1970. Den 28 februari 1970 gick sången upp på 1:a plats på hitlistan Billboard Hot 100. Inspelningen återfinns på albumet Bridge over Troubled Water.

Bridge over Troubled Water, singolo di punta dell'omonimo disco milionario, è una canzone di Simon and Garfunkel, scritta da Paul Simon. Raggiunse la vetta delle classifiche statunitensi il 28 febbraio 1970 rimanendovi per sei settimane prima di essere rimpiazzata da Let It Be, dei Beatles.
Come ha raccontato più volte Paul Simon (ad esempio nell'intervista pubblicata nel volume Canzoni di Paul Simon, edito da Lato Side nel 1977) la canzone è una dichiarazione d'amore per la sua prima moglie, Peggy Harper: la ragazza aveva avuto in alcune zone dei capelli un imbiancamento precoce, ed a questo fanno riferimento i versi della terza strofa, <<Sail on, silver girl...>>.
