Bos is the genus of wild and domestic cattle or oxen. Bos can be divided into four subgenera: Bos, Bibos, Novibos, and Poephagus, but the distinction is controversial. The genus has five extant species. However, this may rise to seven if the domesticated varieties are counted as separate species.

In Wicca, it is normally copied by hand from the book of one's initiating High Priestess or Priest, who copied theirs from their initiator. In modern Eclectic Wiccan terminology, however, a Book of Shadows is a personal magical journal rather than a traditional text.

The Book of Shadows is a fictional book. It is a large, leatherbound spell book seen on the television series Charmed, which is owned by the fictional Charmed Ones. It contains spells, potions, and information on their enemies. The Book has been enchanted to protect itself, causing it to move away whenever any evil being attempts to touch it. It has a large triquetra set on its front cover, symbolizing the Power of Three.

Biuro Odbudowy Stolicy (BOS) - biuro powołane 14 lutego 1945 na mocy dekretu Krajowej Rady Narodowej w celu odbudowy zniszczonej w czasie II wojny światowej Warszawy. Kierownikiem biura był Roman Piotrowski (oraz Józef Sigalin), a wykorzystano także szereg propozycji urbanistycznych zawartych w przedwojennym projekcie generalnym rozwoju Warszawy, który w 1936 r. otrzymał złoty medal na wystawie światowej w Paryżu. Biuro zajmowało się także zabezpieczaniem istniejącej zabudowy miasta, w tym trzykrotną szczegółową inwentaryzacją stanu zabudowy.

Księga zawiera zapis doświadczeń religijnych: szczegóły rytuałów, obrzędów, zaklęć, idei lub zwyczajów. Często jest przekazywana z pokolenia na pokolenie wewnątrz danej tradycji lub kowenu.
