Bohême

The term bohemian was first used in the nineteenth century to describe the untraditional lifestyles of marginalized and impoverished artists, writers, musicians, and actors in major European cities. Bohemians were associated with unorthodox or antiestablishment political or social viewpoints, which were often expressed through extramarital sexual relations, frugality and/or "voluntary poverty".

La bohème is an opera in four acts by Giacomo Puccini to an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based on Scènes de la vie de Bohème by Henri Murger. The world première of La bohème was performed in Turin on February 1, 1896 at the Teatro Regio (now the Teatro Regio Torino) and conducted by the young Arturo Toscanini. In 1946, fifty years after the opera's premiere, Toscanini conducted a performance of it on U.S. radio, and this performance was eventually released on records and on compact disc. It is the only recording of a Puccini opera by its original conductor.

Bohème (französisch: bohème, aus mittelalterlich: bohemus der Böhme, Zigeuner) bezeichnet eine non-konforme, oft „wilde“, „schillernde“ Art zu leben, neben oder sogar gegen gesellschaftliche Konventionen, die keineswegs den westslawischen noch den deutschen Bewohnern Böhmens unterstellt wurde, sondern dem fahrenden Volk, das aus dieser Gegend kam und scheinbar ungebunden und frei sein Leben gestaltete. Diese Art zu leben sei vor allem verbreitet in Künstlerkreisen, bei Malern, Dichtern und Literaten, sowie Studenten. Bürgerliche Töchter und Söhne verweigerten sich oft den Normen und Gepflogenheiten ihres Elternhauses und ihrer Klasse und lebten das Leben eines Bohémiens, das häufig als authentischer, eigenständiger, ursprünglicher und weniger entfremdet erlebt wurde.

Cyganeria (oryginalny tytuł: La Bohème) – opera w czterech aktach Giacomo Pucciniego z 1896.OsobyRudolf, poeta-tenor,Marcel, malarz-baryton,Schaunard, muzyk-baryton,Colline, filozof-bas,Mimì-sopran,Musetta-sopran,Alcindor, radca stanu-bas,Benoit, kamienicznik-bas,Parpignol-tenor,sierżant-baryton,urzędnik komory celnej-baryton,studenci.Akcja rozgrywa się w Paryżu ok. 1830. Libretto to cztery fragmenty ukazujące obrazy z życia francuskiej cyganerii artystycznej w epoce balzakowskiej. Każdy fragment stanowi całość samą w sobie i znakomicie kontrastuje z pozostałymi. Muzyka, w której zwraca uwagę zwłaszcza urozmaicona rytmika oraz barwność instrumentacji, oddaje niesłychaną różnorodność nastrojów powieści, przechodzących bezpośrednio od beztroskiej radości i szampańskiego humoru do przejmującego tragizmu.

La bohème è un'opera lirica in quattro atti di Giacomo Puccini, su libretto di Giuseppe Giacosa e Luigi Illica.Ispirato al romanzo di Henry Murger Scènes de la vie de Bohème, il libretto ebbe una gestazione abbastanza laboriosa, per la difficoltà di adattare le situazioni e i personaggi del testo originario ai rigidi schemi e all'intelaiatura di un'opera musicale. L'orchestrazione della partitura procedette invece speditamente e fu completata nel dicembre 1895.
