For the horror movie, please visit Creature from the Black Lagoon. is the name of a Japanese manga and an anime TV series created by Rei Hiroe. Black Lagoon premiered at the Tokyo International Anime Fair in March 2006 and began airing on 8 April 2006 in Japan, the series airing its final episode on 24 June that year. The second season (called Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage), started airing in Japan on the 2 October 2006 and ended on December 18 2006. The first three volumes (episodes 1-12) are currently being distributed in North America by Geneon Entertainment. The first volume of the Second Barrage episodes was to be released domestically in November of 2007; however, due to Geneon's recent ceasing of their anime production and distribution services in North America, the U.S. release of the Second Barrage episodes is in question.

Premiera serii odbyła sie na Międzynarodowym Tokijskim Konwencie Fanów Anime w Marcu 2006 roku i rozpoczęto emisję 8 marca 2006 w Japonii; ostatni odcinek pierwszego sezonu został wyemitowany 24 czerwca. Emisja drugiego sezonu (Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage) rozpoczęła się w Japonii 2 października 2006 i skończyła się 18 grudnia 2006 roku. Pierwsze trzy tomy (odcinki 1-12) są obecnie sprzedawane w Północnej Ameryce przez Geneon. Pierwsze tomy serii The Second Barrage miały być wydane w Listopadzie 2007 roku; jednakże w związku z niedawnym zmniejszaniem produkcji anime i dystrybucji usług w Północnej Ameryce, wydanie U.S The Second Barrage serii stoi pod znakiem zapytania.
