Bjarne Stroustrup
Bjarne Stroustrup ; born December 30, 1950 in Århus, Denmark) is a Danish computer scientist, most notable for the creation and the development of the widely used C++ programming language. He is currently Professor and holder of the College of Engineering Chair in Computer Science at Texas A&M University.

Bjarne Stroustrup (ur. 1950 w Århus w Danii) - informatyk, profesor Texas A&M University, twórca języka programowania C++.

Stroustrup ma tytuł cand. scient. (duński odpowiednik magistra) z matematyki i informatyki (1975) z Uniwersytetu w Århus, oraz doktora informatyki (1979) z Uniwersytet w Cambridge (Anglia). Do roku 2002 pracował w Laboratorium Badań Programistycznych AT&T. Bjarne jest empirystą, a także wielkim miłośnikiem historii i historii filozofii.
