Bibron's gecko
Bibron's gecko is a moderate-sized gecko that when fully grown reaches between 6 and 8 inches. It has a stockier build than most other geckos. The female is generally smaller than the male. Its base color is brown, and it has a beaded pattern dorsally, with horizontal black strips and white dots. The belly is white or very light brown. Newly-hatched Bibron's geckos' line and color patterns look solid while the adults' appear to be more broken. The female sometimes lacks the white dots.

Bibron's Gecko
Pachydactylus bibronii

General info:
Bibron's are almost "beaded" in appearance. As with most arboreal (tree dwelling) geckos, it is best not to handle these geckos frequently. Not only are they fast, their skin is sensitive and can be damaged easily. Children should only handle these geckos in the company of an adult.
Size:
Length up to 7".
Temperature/Humidity:
Ideal daytime temperature for Bibron's geckos should range between 75º and 85º. Additionally, a basking lamp should be used on one end of the enclosure to maintain a local temperature of 95º - 110º. Nighttime temperature should remain between 65º and 75º. The humidity for Bibron's geckos should be maintained at 65% or higher.
Lighting:
All diurnal geckos (mainly active during the day) require ultraviolet lighting to maintain good health. Ultraviolet lighting is recommended for 12-14 hours per day. The use of a timer will assist in maintaining an accurate schedule of light periods.
Feeding/Watering:
Bibron's geckos do well on a diet consisting of a variety of vitamin/calcium dusted insects such as crickets, mealworms and waxworms. A shallow water bowl should be provided and changed daily. Daily misting of the habitat will help maintain the humidity level. Adult Bibron's geckos should be fed 3-4 times per week, some juveniles can be fed twice daily during their growing period.
