Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay

Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay ( Bibhutibhushon Bôndopaddhae; last name also rendered as Banerjee or Banerji) was a Bengali novelist and writer. His most well known book is the autobiographical novel Pather Panchali (The story of the road), incorporated (along with Aparajito, the sequel) into the memorable film trilogy by Satyajit Ray.

Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay (Bengalî : িবভূিতভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, nom propre parfois orthographié Banerjee ou Banerji), est un romancier et écrivain bengali né le 12 septembre 1894 et mort le  1950. Son roman autobiographique La Complainte du sentier (Pather Panchali) est son œuvre la plus connue. Elle a été adaptée au cinéma par Satyajit Ray, ainsi que la suite L'Invaincu (Aparajito), dans la trilogie d'Apu.
