Bhilai Institute of Technology - Durg

The Institute Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT) (Hindi: भिलाई प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान - दुर्ग) [Seth Balkrishna memorial] was established in the year 1986 as the first Engineering College in Private Sector in the undivided State of Madhya Pradesh. Started at a very modest scale with four undergraduate courses in Engineering (B.E.) and an intake capacity of 180 students, it has now risen to the status of an institution of repute for Technical education and Management studies in the region with seven disciplines of Engineering at the undergraduate level and six post graduate courses including MBA and MCA, and an annual intake strength of 780.
