Bhagavan

Bhagavan, also written Bhagwan or Bhagawan, from the Sanskrit  nt-stem (nominative/vocative ) literally means "possessing fortune, blessed, prosperous" (from the noun , meaning "fortune, wealth", cognate to Slavic "god"), and hence "illustrious, divine, venerable, holy", etc. In some traditions of Hinduism it is used to indicate the Supreme Being or Absolute Truth, but with specific reference to that Supreme Being as possessing a personality (a personal God). This personal feature indicated in Bhagavan differentiates its usage from other similar terms such as Brahman, the "Supreme Spirit" or "spirit", and thus, in this usage, Bhagavan is in many ways analogous to the general Christian conception of God.

Jest najwyższym Brahmanem (Parabrahmanem) i źródłem Paramatmy.Wg Paraśary Muniego, autora Wisznu Purany, Bhagawan posiada nieskończone piękno, wiedzę, majętność, siłę, sławę i wyrzeczenie. Majestat Bhagawana przejawia się w formie Narajana (Pana Panów i Boga bogów), który kontroluje materialny wszechświat jako jeden z purusza awaratów (Karanodakaśaji Wisznu, Garbhodakaśaji Wisznu lub Kśirodakaśaji Wisznu).

Bhagavan (Sanskriet: Bhagavana van bhaga = spirituele uitstraling of een combinatie van zes kwaliteiten en ga = het Wezen waarnaar alle microkosmossen terugkeren, met achtervoegsel vana) is een van de benamingen voor God, met name als aanduiding van een goddelijke Persoonlijkheid zoals Krishna of Shiva, maar ook wel gebruikt als eretitel voor bepaalde gerealiseerde persoonlijkheden zoals b.v. Gautama Boeddha.

Bhagavan, también escrito Bhagwan y Bhagawan, es una palabra del sánscrito  bhaga-vant (nominativo/vocativo de la flexión en -nt Bhagavan) significa literalmente afortunado, próspero, bendecido (del sustantivo bhaga, que significa fortuna o riqueza.En varias tradiciones hindúes, se utiliza para indicar al Ser Supremo o Verdad Absoluta aunque haciendo referencia específica al Ser Supremo como poseedor de una personalidad (un dios personal) .Esta característica personal indicada en la palabra Bhagavan diferencia su uso de otros términos similares como Brahman, Espíritu Supremo o Espíritu y así, con este uso, Bhagavan es, en cierto modo, análogo al concepto cristiano de Dios.
