Bern
The city of Bern or Berne (, ; ; ; ; Bernese German: Bärn ) is the Bundesstadt (federal city, de facto capital) of Switzerland, and, with (as of ) a population of , the fourth most populous city in Switzerland. The Bern agglomeration, which includes 43 municipalities, has a population of 349,000. The metropolitan area had a population of 660,000 in 2000. Bern is also the capital of the Canton of Bern, the second most populous of Switzerland's cantons.

Bern
Bern (französisch Berne, italienisch Berna, rätoromanisch Berna, berndeutsch Bärn []) ist Bundesstadt und somit de facto Hauptstadt der Schweiz und Hauptort des Kantons Bern im Verwaltungskreis Bern-Mittelland. Mit knapp über 130 000 Einwohnern ist sie die viertgrösste Stadt der Schweiz. 349 000 Personen wohnen in der Agglomeration Bern.

Berne
Berne (Bern en allemand, Berna en italien et en romanche) est la cinquième ville de Suisse et le chef-lieu du canton de Berne. Depuis 1848, Berne est la ville fédérale, à savoir le siège du gouvernement fédéral suisse, sans cependant avoir le statut de capitale. La commune de Berne compte habitants en 2008.

Bern

Bern är huvudstad i förbundsrepubliken Schweiz och kantonen Bern. Staden har 127 000 invånare och är den fjärde största staden i landet efter Zürich, Genève och Basel. I Berns storstadsområde bor cirka 350 000 invånare. Berns officiella språk är tyska, även om schweizertyska, som är alemanniska och inte tyska, är det egentliga lokalspråket i Bern och hela tyskschweiz. Å andra sidan behärskar de flesta invånare i Bern även tyska eftersom det är det officiella språket på vilket all officiell information och undervisning sker.

Berno (miasto)
Berno (niem. Bern, fr. Berne) - stolica Szwajcarii (formalnie tylko siedziba rządu - niem. Bundesstadt) i stolica kantonu Berno.
Miasto leży nad rzeką Aare dzielącą je na dwie części połączone mostami. Założył je w 1191 roku książę Bertold V von Zähringen i, według legendy, nazwał je Bern (niem. Bär – niedźwiedź), gdyż zabił tam niedźwiedzia podczas polowania. Dziś miś stanowi zwierzę heraldyczne (występuje w herbie) i jest maskotką miasta, a od XIX w. w jamach nad rzeką Aare (niem. Bärengraben) trzymane są niedźwiedzie.
