Benedict Arnold
Benedict Arnold V (June 14, 1801) was a general during the American Revolutionary War who originally fought for the American Continental Army but defected to the British Army. While a general on the American side, he obtained command of the fort at West Point, New York, and plotted to surrender it to the British forces. After the plot was exposed in September 1780, he was commissioned into the British Army as a brigadier general.

Benedict Arnold
Benedict Arnold (* 14. Januar 1741 in Norwich, Connecticut; † 14. Juni 1801 in London, England) war ursprünglich ein Rebell und wurde später General in der Kontinentalarmee (Continental Army) der 13 rebellierenden Kolonien der nordamerikanischen Ostküste. Er lief zu den Briten über und gilt darum in den Vereinigten Staaten als Urbild eines hinterhältigen Verräters.

Benedict Arnold
Benedict Arnold ( – ) est un général de l'Armée continentale durant la guerre d'indépendance des États-Unis d'Amérique. Il est surtout connu pour avoir trahi les États-Unis et voulu livrer le fort américain de West Point aux Anglais durant la guerre d’Indépendance. Il est peut-être le traître le plus connu de l'histoire des États-Unis.

Benedict Arnold
Benedict Arnold V (ur. 14 stycznia 1741 w Norwich, Connecticut, zm. 14 czerwca, 1801 w Londynie), był kupcem z Connecticut, który walczył w amerykańskiej wojnie o niepodległość w stopniu generała Armii Kontynentalnej.
W Stanach Zjednoczonych Arnold znany jest przede wszystkim ze swojej zdrady i spisku, w wyniku którego doszło do poddania wojskom brytyjskim amerykańskiego fortu w West Point w stanie Nowy York. Zdrada była ogromnym ciosem dla sprawy Amerykańskiej Rewolucji zwłaszcza, że Benedict Arnold uważany był za jednego z najlepszych generałów amerykańskich i lidera w Armii Kontynentalnej. Jego imię stało się synonimem zdrady .
