Bemowo

Bemowo is a district of Warsaw located in the western part of the city. Its territory covers the so-called western belt of the former district of Wola, which was incorporated to Warsaw in the year 1951. The name of the district derives from the surname of General Józef Bem.

Bemowo est un arrondissement de Varsovie situé au nord-ouest de la ville. Son territoire couvre l'ancienne zone de Wola, qui a été incorporée à Varsovie en l'année 1951. Bemowo – dzielnica Warszawy położona na zachodnim skraju miasta. Obejmuje tereny przyłączone do dzielnicy-gminy Wola w 1951 r. Od roku 1994 stanowi osobną jednostkę. Nazwa pochodzi od nazwiska generała Józefa Bema. Jedna z najbardziej rozwijających się dzielnic stolicy. Kiedyś była głównie sypialnią Warszawy, dziś jest dużym centum sportu i handlu.
