A veteran of the mexican league, Beltran has always played for Pumas UNAM and he even studies in the UNAM. Is the new symbol of Pumas UNAM and one of the best players of Hugo Sanchez team. He won the gold medal with México U-23 side in the Pan-American games of 1999 in Canada, after defeating Honduras (3:1) in the final. He was also a member of the 'Tragedy of Hershey', when the Mexican U-23 team failed to qualify to Sydney Olympics.
