A bell tower (also belfry) is a tower which contains one or more bells, or which is designed to hold bells, even if it has none. In the European tradition, such a tower most commonly serves as part of a church and contains church bells. Modern bell towers often contain carillons.

Monteroni di Lecce is a town and comune in the province of Lecce, Apulia, southern Italy town with ca. 13,600 inhabitants. It is located at 7 km from Lecce, in the area called Salento (reported until recently also as Terra d'Otranto).

Der Glockenturm des Olympiastadions in Berlin ist ein 77,17 Meter hoher Aussichtsturm. Er wurde 1934 nach Plänen von Werner March gebaut. Die Stahlskelettkonstruktion war mit Kalksteinplatten verkleidet. Nach einem Brand zum Ende des Kriegs war der Turm nicht mehr standsicher und wurde am 15. Februar 1947 von britischen Pionieren gesprengt. Die 9,6 Tonnen schwere Olympiaglocke fiel dabei 77 Meter tief und wurde dabei so schwer beschädigt, dass sie nicht mehr erklingt und nun als ein Denkmal dient.

Un clocher est un élément architectural d'une église, généralement en forme de tour plus ou moins élevée, qui héberge une ou plusieurs cloches. Il arrive que la flèche d'un clocher ne soit pas droite : on parle alors de clocher tors , hélicoïdal ou vrillé. Les clochers sont tors soit par accident, soit parce qu'ils sont le chef-d'œuvre de Compagnons bâtisseurs.
