Batman

Batman (originally referred to as the Bat-Man and still referred to at times as the Batman) is a fictional comic book superhero co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger (although only Kane receives official credit) and published by DC Comics. The character made his first appearance in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939). Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a wealthy industrialist, playboy, and philanthropist. Witnessing the murder of his parents as a child leads him to train himself to physical and intellectual perfection and don a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his sidekick Robin and his butler Alfred Pennyworth, and fights an assortment of villains influenced by the characters' roots in film and pulp magazines. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and intimidation in his war on crime.

Batman (deutsch: Fledermaus-Mann) ist ein Comic-Held, der von Bob Kane geschaffen und von Bill Finger vor dem Erscheinen weiterentwickelt wurde; er veränderte das steife Cape in ein wallendes und schuf die zweite Identität Bruce Wayne. Erstmals erschien er 1939 in dem Comic-Magazin "Detective Comics" (Ausgabe #27); nach diesem Magazin nannte sich später dessen Verlag in DC Comics um.

Batman (ang. The Batman lub The Bat-man, człowiek-nietoperz) - postać fikcyjna, bohater wielu serii komiksowych, wydawanych przez DC Comics oraz opartych na nich seriali telewizyjnych i filmów. Batman obok Supermana należy do najbardziej znanych postaci komiksowych. Obaj należą do superbohaterów, których zadaniem jest walka ze złem i pomoc ludziom. Batman w przeciwieństwie do wielu innych superbohaterów nie posiada własnych mocy. Swoje zdolności zawdzięcza treningowi fizycznemu. W świecie DC (uniwersum komiksowego, gdzie został stworzony) uchodzi za najwybitniejszego detektywa. Pilnuje porządku w mieście Gotham City.

Batman (in italiano, letteralmente: Uomo-Pipistrello) è un personaggio dei fumetti creato da Bob Kane e Bill Finger, (sebbene solo Kane sia stato – per lungo tempo – riconosciuto ufficialmente come ideatore), pubblicato dalla DC Comics. Il personaggio fa il suo esordio nel maggio 1939 sul numero 27 della rivista Detective Comics. In Italia è stato presentato in passato anche come Ala d'Acciaio e Pipistrello.
