Bandura
For the article on the Canadian psychologist, see Albert Bandura. Bandura refers to a Ukrainian plucked string instrument similar to a zither, as well as to its lute-like Baroque predecessor, the kobza. The term is also occasionally used by folk instumentalists when referring to a number of other common Eastern European string instruments such as the hurdy gurdy and the 5 string guitar (commonly referred to by the diminutive bandurka).
