''The Bahá'í Faith is a religion founded by Bahá'u'lláh in 19th-century Persia, emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind. There are around six million Bahá'ís in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.According to Bahá'í teachings, religious history has unfolded through a series of God's messengers who brought teachings suited for the capacity of the people at their time, and whose fundamental purpose is the same. Bahá'u'lláh is regarded as the most recent, but not final, in a line of messengers that includes Abraham, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad and others. Bahá'u'lláh's claim to fulfill the eschatological promises of previous scriptures coincides with his mission to establish a firm basis for unity throughout the world, and inaugurate an age of peace and justice, which Bahá'ís expect will inevitably arise.

La religion bahá’íe (prononcer ), aussi connue sous le nom de bahaïsme ou de foi bahá'ie a été fondée par le Persan Mirzâ Husayn 'Alî (1817-1892) en 1863. Ce nom est dérivé du surnom donné à son fondateur : Bahá'u'lláh (en arabe, « Gloire de Dieu » ou « splendeur de Dieu »). Les bahá'is sont les disciples de Baha'u'llah. Ils s'organisent autour de plus de centres (répertoriés par le centre mondial de Haïfa) répartis dans le monde entier, et leurs écrits sont publiés en plus de 800 langues (accessibles dans les bibliothèques baháies). En 2007, elle compte environ 7 millions de croyants (ayant chacun signé sa déclaration d'adhésion) appartenant à plus de 2100 groupes ethniques, répartis dans plus de 193 pays (l'existence juridique de chaque communauté nationale ou régionale correspond à une démarche officielle effectuée dans le pays concerné). Son but est d'unir tous les peuples du monde dans une cause universelle et une foi commune. Son centre mondial est situé à Haïfa, en Israël.
