Baal-Gebal

[Other] The supreme goddess of the Phoenician city Byblos around 3000 BCE. Her name means "lady of Gebal", which the city was called in those days. The ruin of the temple once dedicated to her can still be found in the village of Djebail (some 30 km. north-east of Beirut), the former Byblos.
