BOA

Boa Kwon (born November 5 1986 in Guri, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea) is a South Korean singer, commonly known by her stage name BoA, and the letters of her first name have been backronymed to Beat of Angel. She has been active in both South Korea and Japan. Aside from Korean, she also speaks Japanese and conversational English.

Boas are a type of snake that are members of the Boidae family. Boas are basal snakes that are "primitive" in evolutionary terms (i.e. less derived). They are constrictors and most give birth to live young. They have anal spurs, a pair of claws on each side of the cloaca which assist in mating. Boas are named after cows (Latin: bos) because of the old myth that boa snakes pursue cows and suckle them until they are drained to death. Boas have two subfamilies: Boinae or true boas and Erycinae or sand boas. Pythons are sometimes classified as a subfamily of Boidae, but are frequently listed under their own family, Pythonidae. Sand boas are also frequently listed under their own family, Erycidae.

Bôa is a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1993 by drummer Ed Herten. They are most widely known for the song "Duvet", which was used as the theme song for the anime series Serial Experiments Lain. Because of this, they are fairly popular among anime fans around the world; in particular, they performed in a live concert at the anime convention Otakon in 2000.

BoA ou Kwon BoA, née le 5 novembre 1986 à Kyung Gi Do en Corée du Sud est une chanteuse d’origine coréenne qui débuta très jeune a l'âge de 13 ans. Dès l'âge de 5 ans elle voulait devenir chanteuse, puis c'est à 11 ans qu'elle sera retenue lors d'une audition organisée par la maison de disque SM Entertainement. Elle a sorti des albums en Corée aussi bien qu’au Japon, en Chine ou en Thaïlande, et sa maison de disque coréenne, SM Entertainment, la prépare actuellement à devenir une vedette interculturelle en Asie et la maison de disque Avex Trax pour le Japon. Ses albums ont été aussi sortis en versions « overseas » dans toute l’Asie. A présent, elle a écoulé plus de dix millions de disques. La langue maternelle de BoA est le coréen, mais elle parle aussi couramment le japonais, et parle l’anglais de conversation. Elle a aussi chanté des versions de ses chansons en chinois mandarin.

BoA (Bürgerlicher Name: Kwon Boa, * 5. November 1986 in Guri, Südkorea) ist eine koreanische Pop-Sängerin. Außer koreanisch spricht sie fließend Japanisch und einigermaßen Englisch.Im Alter von 11 Jahren bei einer Casting-Show entdeckt, wurde sie systematisch zum J-Pop- und K-Pop-Star aufgebaut. Sie bekam parallel zum Schulbesuch nicht nur Tanz- und Musikunterricht, sondern auch Unterricht in Englisch und Japanisch. Ihre Schulferien verbrachte sie zu diesem Zweck in Japan, wo sie nur japanisch sprechen durfte. Tanzunterricht bekam sie bei einem der besten japanischen Tänzer, Sakuma, und die Choreografie für ihr Debüt-Album wurde von Kazeu, einem japanischen Hip-Hop-Star, entworfen, der eigens zu diesem Zweck nach Korea kam. Im Jahre 2000 begann sie ihre Musikkarriere mit ihrem Debütalbum 'ID; Peace B 'in Südkorea, ein Jahr später mit der Single 'Listen to my Heart' in Japan. Bis heute hat sie 10 Studioalben und diverse Singles veröffentlicht und mehr als 10 Mio. CDs verkauft.

bôa ist eine britische Alternative-Rock-Band. Sie wurde 1993 von Ed Herten in London gegründet. 1998 wurde die Gruppe unter Anime-Fans bekannt, da ihr Titel Duvet als Titelmusik für den Anime Serial Experiments Lain verwendet wurde. Der Song wurde in Japan als Single verkauft, später auch Alben mit weiteren Titeln.2000 folge das Album Twilight, das in den USA veröffentlicht wurde. Nach einiger Wartezeit erschien dann im Februar 2005 mit Get There ein weiteres Album, diesmal in Großbritannien. Es ist derzeit (August 2005) nur direkt auf der offiziellen Website und in einigen Online-Musikportalen zu erwerben.
