BMS Scuderia Italia

BMS Scuderia Italia (commonly known as Scuderia Italia) is a racing team owned by Italian steel magnate Beppe Lucchini. It was originally called Brixia Motorsport.After racing in the Italian Sports Championship, Italian Rally, and touring cars, the team ran in Formula One from 1988 to 1993, employing several drivers, including Andrea de Cesaris, JJ Lehto and Michele Alboreto. From 1988 to 1992 they raced Dallara chassis, becoming a regular midfielder team and scoring a podium finish in 1991 with JJ Lehto. In 1993 they switched to a Lola chassis with disastrous results, and at the end of the year the team merged with Minardi. Luchinni withdrew his support at the end of 1995, moving to other series.

La Scuderia Italia, aussi connue sous le nom BMS Scuderia Italia, est une écurie italienne de sport automobile fondée à Brescia par Giuseppe Beppe Lucchini, propriétaire d'une entreprise de sidérurgie. Actuellement engagée dans le championnat FIA GT, la Scuderia Italia s'est également distinguée en participant au championnat du monde de Formule 1 de 1988 à 1993. La Scuderia Italia a participé à 122 GP de Formule 1, inscrit un total de 15 points et décroché 2 podiums. Son meilleur classement en championnat du monde est une 8 place en 1989 et 1991. En 1994, Beppe Lucchini retire son écurie du championnat pour injecter des fonds au sein de l'autre écurie italienne Scuderia Minardi dont il devient actionnaire jusqu'en 1995 avant de s'engager dans d'autres championnats.

BMS Scuderia Italia är ett italienskt racingstall som tävlade i formel 1 i slutet av 1980-talet och början av 1990-talet. Stallet körde huvudsakligen med bilar från Dallara och blev därmed ofta synonymt med biltillverkaren. Under 1993 bytte man till Lola och namnet till Lola BMS Scuderia Italia. 1994 övergick man till tävlingar med sportvagnar.
