Barium sulfide is the chemical compound with the formula BaS. This material was once known as "Bologna Stone", the first synthetic phosphor. Currently the chalcogenides of the alkaline earth metals are intensely studied as candidates for short wavelength emitters for electronic displays. BaS is considered to be the most important synthetic material of barium, being the precursor to BaCO3 and the pigment lithopone.

Le baccalauréat en arts ou baccalauréat ès arts est un baccalauréat délivré généralement après des études dans le domaine des lettres, des beaux-arts ou des sciences sociales ou humaines. Il existe dans la plupart des pays de tradition universitaire anglo-saxonne (baccalaureate of Arts ou bachelor's degree of Arts en anglais). En France, c'était un grade des anciennes facultés des Arts avant la Révolution, le terme Arts avait alors un sens beaucoup plus large que maintenant, et c'est ce sens qu'il conserve dans les diplômes délivrés par les universités les plus anciennes du Royaume-Uni.
