BackGround è il quinto album solista del rapper Bassi Maestro, uscito nel 2002 per Vibrarecords e composto da 15 tracce composte dallo stesso bassi e da Kaso.Da molti è considerato il miglior album di Bassi ed uno dei più importanti del rap italiano. L'album si apre con Passo e chiudo, una autopresentazione tesa a descrivere un Bassi consapevole ed impermeabile alle critiche dei detrattori, smentiti dai risultati di una carriera all'epoca già più che decennale, evento raro per un artista di hip hop italiano.

La modalità Background è quella modalità tipica di alcuni programmi che devono svolgere operazioni lunghe e laboriose, che non richiedono l'intervento dell'utente. I programmi che lavorano in background possono essere per esempio quelli che effettuano la deframmentazione dell'hard disk.I programmi in tale modalità sono collocati nella system tray (l'area del desktop di Windows accanto all'orologio di sistema e spesso hanno meccanismi adatti per utilizzare meno risorse possibili in modo tale da non rallentare il lavoro dell'utente.
