افق b ، خاک مياني
لايه اي از نيمرخ خاک در زير افق a شامل کاني هاي شسته شده از افق هاي بالايي مانند : رس و اکسيدهاي غني شده . در اين افق عمل تخريب و تجزيه به مراتب بيشتر از افق c پيشرفت و اثر کرده است . معمولا از مواد رسي ، ماسه و شنهاي ريز و درشت و گاه مقادير کمي بقاياي نباتي تشکيل شده است. در اين افق علاوه بر مواد رسي ، در آب و هواي مرطوب ، اکسيدهاي آهن و همچنين مواد محلولتر که بوسيله آبهاي نفوذي از افق a به آنجا آورده شدهاند ديده مي شوند.

The lower soil zone which is enriched by the deposition or precipitation of material from the overlying zone, or A-Horizon. Along with the A-horizon, constitutes part of the Zone of Eluviation.
