Ayutthaya (stad)
Ayutthaya (Volledige naam: Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thai: พระนครศรีอยุธยา) is een stad in Centraal-Thailand. Ayutthaya is hoofdstad van de provincie Ayutthaya en het district Ayutthaya. De stad heeft ongeveer 70.000 inwoners.De moderne stad ligt tegen de historische stad Ayutthaya aan. Die stad was de hoofdstad van het oude koninkrijk Ayutthaya. Tegenwoordig is het het Ayutthaya historisch park en staat het op de werelderfgoedlijst.De stad is genoemd naar de Indiase stad Ayodhya.
