Can play as a central defender, is very good defending, and is not used to carry the ball from goal to goal. However, Celso is very good in aerial passes. Excelent in marking opposite forwards. After a disapointing season with Real Betis, Celso was transferred to Capello's Roma but, was returned weeks later. Has participated in one World Cup (1998) and four America's Cup (1993, 95, 97 and 99); was not able to show in Paraguay's Copa America, his quality due to an injury suffered in the first round. Failed to settle in Sevilla's Betis, and moved to Atletico Madrid for the next millenium.
