August Kopff
August Kopff (February 5, 1882–April 25, 1960) was a German astronomer who discovered several comets and asteroids. He worked in Heidelberg, then joined the Humboldt University of Berlin where he became the Director of the Institute for Astronomical Calculation.

August Kopff (ur. 5 lutego 1882 - zm. 25 kwietnia 1960), niemiecki astronom, odkrywca szeregu komet (między innymi 22P/Kopff i C/1906 E1) oraz 68 planetoid (między innymi  617 Patroclus i 624 Hektor).

Jego imieniem nazwano krater na Księżycu.
