Atlanta Braves

The Atlanta Braves are a professional baseball team based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Braves are a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball's National League. From to the present, the Braves have played in Turner Field.The "Braves" name originates from the term for a Native American warrior. They are nicknamed "the Bravos", and "America's Favorite Team", the latter a reference to the team's games being broadcast on the nationally available TBS, gaining a wide fanbase. They were also known during the first half of the 1990s as "the Team of the '90s", in reference to the team's great success in these years. While the Yankees took the spotlight in the late '90s, the Braves still won their division an unprecedented 14 consecutive times from 1991-2005 omitting the strike-shortened 1994 season.

Sie spielen in der Eastern Division der National League.Die Atlanta Braves wurden 1871 in Boston, Massachusetts als Boston Red Stockings gegründet. Im Jahr 1953 wechselte das Team nach Milwaukee, wo das Team bis 1965 spielte und 1957 die World Series gewann. 1966 folgte ein erneuter Umzug, der die Braves nach Atlanta, Georgia führte, wo sie bis heute spielen. Ihre Heimspiele trägt die Mannschaft im Turner Field, benannt nach dem Besitzer des Teams, dem US-amerikanischen Medienmogul Ted Turner, aus.

Atlanta Braves – drużyna baseballowa grająca we wschodniej dywizji National League, ma siedzibę w Atlanta w stanie Georgia.Założona w 1871 roku jako Boston Red Stockings od roku 1876 jest członkiem National League. Od roku 1912 zespół używa nazwy Braves. W roku 1953 drużyna przeniosła się do Milwaukee gdzie mieściła się do roku 1966 w którym została ponownie przeniesiona tym razem do Atlanty. Braves trzykrotnie zdobyli World Series, w 1914 w Bostonie, 1957 w Milwaukee oraz 1995 w Atlancie. Jest to jedyny zespół w historii lig zawodowych, który zdobył mistrzostwo w trzech różnych miastach.
