AtheOS File System
The AtheOS file system (AFS) was originally used in the AtheOS operating system, and is now a part of the Syllable operating system. AFS started with exactly the same data structures as the Be File System, BFS, and extended its feature set in many ways. As such, AFS is a 64-bit journaled file system with support for file attributes. File indexing and soft deletions are also partially supported.

AtheOS FS
AtheOS File System (AFS) - system plików stworzony w projekcie AtheOS, a obecnie używany w jego odnodze Syllable. AFS był wzorowany na systemie plików BeFS, używanym przez system operacyjny BeOS.
AFS jest systemem 64-bitowym z księgowaniem całych plików oraz metadanych. Obsługa atrybutów plików pozwala trzymać informacje o przechowywanych plikach jako pary nazwa+wartość, a indeksowanie plików i atrybutów przyśpiesza ich wyszukiwanie.
Implementacja w Syllable jest wciąż nieukończona, co oznacza, że dane nie są jeszcze w pełni bezpieczne. Dotyczy to w szczególności księgowania, a więc odtworzenie danych po awarii systemu może być niemożliwe, a dysk niezdatny do zamontowania.

AtheOS-tiedostojärjestelmä
AtheOS-tiedostojärjestelmä (AtheOS File System, AFS) oli alun perin käytetty AtheOS nimisessä käyttöjärjestelmässä, ja on nyt osa Syllablea. Se on laajennus tiedostojärjestelmälle, jota käytettiin BeOSissa. AFS on 64-bittinen journaloiva tiedostojärjestelmä, joka tukee tiedostojen attribuutteja. Myös tiedostojen indeksointi on osittain tuettu ja niin sanottu soft deletion, joka piilottaa tiedoston piilohakemistoon, kun käyttäjä antaa poistokomennon ja tiedosto häviää vasta seuraavalla käynnistyskerralla.
