Asteria
[Greek] The daughter of the Titan Coeus and Phoebe. She was abducted by Zeus, but hurled herself in the sea and became the island of the same name. She was the sixth slain by Heracles in single combat when he came for Hippolyta's girdle. Even though the Amazons knew he was invulnerable, they still chose to challenge him one by one. In order to escape being raped by Zeus, this nymph changed herself into a quail.
