Assam tea

Assam is a black tea named after the region of its production: Assam, India. This tea grown at sea level is known for its body, briskness, malty flavor, and strong, bright color. Assam teas, or blends containing Assam, are often sold as "breakfast" teas. English Breakfast tea, Irish Breakfast tea, and Scottish Breakfast Tea are common trade names.

Ассам или ассамский чай (Assam) — сорт чёрного крупнолистового чая, выращиваемого в регионе Асом в Индии, расположенного в предгорьях Восточных Гималаев. Название происходит от английского названия этого региона.Ассам, так же как и смешанные чаи с ассамом, нередко продаются в Великобритании как «чаи к завтраку» . Разновидность Ассама — Ассам Суперб регулярно пьёт Королева Великобритании Елизавета II.
