Asilky

[Other] In Russian mythology the Asilky are mighty giants, also known as Velyety or Voloty. These giants erected the mountains on the Earth and made rivers and lakes; when one of them tossed his mace into the sky, then thunder was heard. They were so proud of their strength and might that they dared to threaten God and were destroyed.
