Åsen
Åsen is a village and former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The former municipality constitutes the southern part of the present-day municipality of Levanger, bordering Stjørdal to the south.

Åsen är en tätort i Älvdalens kommun i norra Dalarna vid Österdalälven. Åsen ligger cirka 20 km nordväst om Älvdalen tätort och cirka 5 km väster om Brunnsberg.

Æsir
Nel mondo norreno, gli Æsir (al singolare Áss, al femminile singolare Ásynja, al femminile plurale Ásynjur, in anglosassone Ós, dal proto-germanico *Ansuz), sono gli dèi, signori assoluti del cielo.
Secondo l'interpretazione evemeristica di Snorri Sturluson, gli Æsir erano originari dell'Asia (Asíá in norreno) e da quel luogo si sarebbero spostati seguendo il loro capo Odino verso le terre del nord, fermandosi in Svezia (Svíþjóð). La loro patria d'origine era Ásaland ("terra degli Æsir"), anche chiamata Ásaheimr ("regno degli Æsir"), e capitale di tale regno era Ásgarðr ("recinto degli Æsir") che Snorri curiosamente identifica con Troia
