Asclepius (Greek , transliterated Asklēpiós; Latin Aesculapius) is the demigod of medicine and healing in ancient Greek mythology. Asclepius represents the healing aspect of the medical arts, while his daughters Hygieia, Meditrina, Iaso, Aceso, Aglæa/Ægle and Panacea (literally, "all-healing") symbolize the forces of cleanliness, medicine and healing, respectively.

Dans la mythologie grecque, Asclépios (en grec ancien  / Asklêpiós) est dans l'épopée homérique un héros thessalien  puis, à l'époque classique, le dieu de la médecine. Fils d'Apollon, il meurt foudroyé par Zeus pour avoir ressuscité les morts, avant d'être placé dans le ciel sous la forme de la constellation du Serpentaire.

Asklepios (translit. aus altgriechisch Ἀσκληπιός, in lateinischer Tradition als Aesculapius, dav. deutsch Äskulap, neugriech. Ασκληπιός) ist in der griechischen Mythologie der Gott der Heilkunst. In manchen Büchern wird der griechische Gott auch mit der Person des ägyptischen Universalgelehrten und Arztes Imhotep als Übertragung in das hellenistische Weltbild identifiziert.

Asclepio (greco Ἀσκληπιός, traslitterato Asklēpiós; latino Aesculapius) è un personaggio della mitologia greca. Figlio di Apollo e di Arsinoe secondo Esiodo, oppure di Apollo e Coronide per Pindaro, comune mortale per Omero, si diceva fosse stato istruito nella medicina da Chirone, o che avesse ereditato tale proprietà dal padre Apollo.
